Normally I don't blog about airports, but
Taiwan's Taoyuan International Airport, the country's largest and
the world's 13th busiest,
impressed me so much that I can't resist posting a couple of pictures here. We transited there on our way from Amsterdam to Manila, with a bit of time to kill at the terminal.
There are very well presented museum exhibits and some shopping. But, to our daughter's delight, we spent most of our time at the cute play area, complete with a large board which children can draw on. At some point an elegant, business-suit clad lady showed up. She removed her shoes before entering the play area, then proceeded to check each marker one by one, to make sure they work properly. That is how organized they are here!
But what I find most impressive is the cleanness of the place. I have never, ever, seen an airport this clean. Come to think of it, I have never, ever seen
any place this clean. The floors are simply spotless! Just look at the pictures, you will see what I mean.
